About

name pronunciation: KAAH-Leanne Van

Kaliane Van (They/She/Any) is a cyborg whose missions are many and inquiries are expressed by sonic, kinetic, graphic and linguistic modalities. Their idiosyncratic approach to life inspires avant-garde works, which are often created automatically and aleatorically.

With an innately reflective mind, they’re interested in directing such metacognition into emerging fields such as neuromorphic engineering, natural language processing, and extended reality.

Current projects include producing a Khmer Psych album through Jack Straw Cultural Center‘s Artist Support Program, various NFT releases, a collaborative album by b33p called Pleasing Pixels and Sinusoidal Sensations for Cymatic Cyborgs, developing a fantasy universe called Tympanum, performance art and moving to Atlanta for software engineering.

They also go by Motif Noticer and ZavelaraOtolix.
