About

Name Pronunciation: Call-Leanne Van

Kaliane Van aka Motif Noticer and ZavelaraOtolix (They/She/Any) is a cyborg artist, technologist, and sound alchemist, whose inquiries manifest through sonic, kinetic, graphic, and linguistic modalities. Their idiosyncratic approach to creation fuels avant-garde works, often generated through automatic processes and aleatoric methods.

With an innately reflective mind, they are interested in directing such metacognition into emerging fields such as neuromorphic engineering, natural language processing, and extended reality, exploring the intersection of human perception, machine intelligence, and computational creativity.

Current Projects

  • Developing TimbreSpace – An interactive spatial audio workstation that explores multidimensional sound analysis and procedural synthesis.
  • Building Tympanum – a mythopoetic fantasy universe where psychoacoustics, speculative technology, and non-Euclidean narratives collide. Bridging human error, synthetic cognition, multimodal interaction, and algorithmic storytelling in music, art, creative writing, and XR experiences.
  • Performance Art – sonic experiments spanning somatic movement, visual narratives, spatial sound, and procedural composition.

Things I Wanna Do in This Lifetime :

  • Record every language on Earth before they disappear.
  • Professionally record wildlife and nature in breathtaking remote locations.
  • Collect free organs & pianos, transform them into xenharmonic guitars & synthesizers.
  • Create a type foundry inspired by ancient scripts, futuristic glyphs, and alien languages.
  • Study material science and find better (more sustainable, quieter) materials for roads, acoustics, clothing, and other human essentials.
  • Set the world record for longest time spent in an anechoic chamber, hooked up to EEGs, turning brainwaves into art and a documentary.
  • Tour the world as a musician.
  • Create a system where people can monetize their digital data, reclaiming value from AI training models (blockchain royalties).
  • Design immersive art installations and sculptures across the world, transforming spaces into living experiences.
  • Open the most comprehensive ASMR recording studio.
  • Do an animal sleep study – Take on another animal’s sleep cycle for a year, experiencing the world from a non-human rhythm.
